Zero: Chapter 19

Suicune appears!


'One… freaking… month?!' Zero blurted.

'Mmmhmm…' Kariiya noded, still aching from the slashes. 'No wonder why Weaviles are dangerous…'

'B-But you promised me to go along with me!' Zero sobbed.

'I did so… but this was unexpected… so… I can't do much until a month passes.' Kariiya responded. 'Forgive me…'


The Half Glaceon felt bad for her friend and remembered how they became friends, how gracily they fought each other in the Dragon Tower, and how they told their own secrets.

In a flashback of Zero…


'Hey, Zero.' Kariiya asked. 'What is your biggest secret?'

'It wouldn't be secret if I told you!' Zero laughed out loud.

'Oh, come on! I want to know! If you do, I do. Okay?' The winged Leafeon laughed as well.

'Just promise to keep this as a secret between us. Friends?' Zero asked while stretching her paw.

'Alright.' Kariiya stretched her paw as well, shaking it with Zero's. 'What is your biggest secret again?'

'Well, it happens that I…'

'You… what?'

'I… uv… in…'

'Just say it! No one is watching!'

'I love Gorin…' The Half Glaceon replied, a large blush making on her face.

'How lucky! I'd never knew you liked my cousin!' The Winged Leafeon shouted out.

'Gorin is your cousin?'

'Yes, he is. That's one of my secrets.' Kariiya added.

'Darn, I never knew, and he never told me!' Zero blurted.

'Now to my real secret. I am the daughter of a demigod.'

'What?!' Zero jumped, hitting her back after the initial shock.

'I am dead serious on that one. My dad is the Demigod of the Grass. His name is Mora.'

'Really? I don't get why he has a funny name.'

'His name is actually the spanish for "blue berry", for your information.' Kariiya added as she poked the Half Glaceon's nose.


After the long conversation, Zero laughed a bit and started to play with Kariiya. Suddenly, the Half Glaceon returned to her quarters and turned back to Kariiya.


'I forgive you, and I will keep doing. That's what the friends are for: to make us feel better, and to make them feel better as well and viceversa.' Zero lectured when she took a paw from the winged Leafeon.

'T-Thank you…' Kariiya replied with a weak smile.

'Come on! Give me a better smile and promise me that you will get better soon!' Zero cheered her.

'Don't be afraid, Half Glaceon! I promise you that I will!' Kariiya replied with a better smile.

'Friends?' Zero asked while she hugged Kariiya, but trying to not make her pain more.

'Friends.' Kariiya replied with a soft voice.


Immediately, an huge breeze blew inside the room and filling it with the whistlings of the four winds.


'What's going on!?' Chase yelled.

'I don't know!' Der replied, yelling from the loud wind noise. 'Did the aircon have a malfunction!?'

'I don't think so!' Alus yelled at Der. 'This breeze is too damn cold for an aircon!'

'I think I know what's causing this!' Chase yelled before glancing at a whirl of snow.


Eventually, a figure that was about twice the size of an Eevee appeared inside the swirl. It seemed to have an huge, hexagonal crest on its forehead, four legs, no tail and some white strings. After the winds stoped blowing, so did the swirl, revealing a Pokémon that got everyone shocked at its sight.


'Chase, I need your help.' The Pokémon spoke. 'My temple has been taken over by strange brigands who are calling themselves the Dark Legacy and I nearly got caught by their leader, a Skymin named Yusha.'

'Suicune? I thought you didn't…' Chase started, recognizing the Pokémon as a Legendary Pokémon.

'I cannot believe what I told you at the beginning, but this is an emergency. They have got the Aqua Horn in their hands and now, they are heading towards the Leaf Fortress. If they ever get the Wooden Horn, along with the Venom horn they already got, they could create an huge destructive poisonous moor over Floreve City and Volley Bay.'

'Is that bad?' Chase asked.

'No, not bad. It's HORRIBLE. Just imagine the citizens getting choked out to death by the poisonous mass of mud helplessly. We have got to stop them before they get to the Leaf Fortress.' Suicune pleaded.

'Alright.' Chase accepted the request. 'Still, where is the Leaf Fortress…?'

'That's one of the inconvenients I am worried the most, you know.' Suicune sighed.

'Hey, miss Suicune…' Kariiya tried to ask.

'Aren't you… Mora's daughter?' Suicune asked in awe as she saw the winged Leafeon and examined her.

'Yes, I am!' Kariiya replied.

'I know that your father is guarding the Wooden Horn in the Leaf Fortress, but I cannot recall where the Fortress is, since it's very well hidden. Do you happen to know where it is?' The Suicune asked.

'It's past the Shadow Forest, but I heard that he manipulates the path for lost travelers and intruders, so, they get the idea that it isn't the right way to the two. It doesn't makes sense. The only way in is to call his name three times in there, but you have to be in a certain place to make him open the path.' Kariiya explained.

'Thank you, children of Leaf.' Suicune thanked the winged Leafeon with a kiss on the forehead. 'How can I repay you?'

'Just tell dad that I said hi to him and that I love him.'

'Okay. Let's move it on, Chase.'

'Uh… may I take some fellows with me?' Chase asked while holding a finger up.

'Alright, but only four of them. I'd recommend bringing Derek Glenn, Zero, and the two Victinis out there.'

'I will miss you, Kariiya.' Zero said as she hugged her friend again.

'I will miss you too.' The Winged Leafeon replied as well.


Eventually, most of the Pokémon left the room. Alexia and Aohiko said they would go back to the shop before it got really late and left the Pokémon Center. Before the Bubble Jet Pokémon left, the Sun Pokémon stopped him.


'Der…' Alus started. 'Wish me good luck at trying to figure out that one puzzle about the Umbreon, since it was a telepathical mission from Bianca.'

'Oh, do you mean the Umbreon in Zero's backstory?'

'Kinda. There must be something about that Umbreon I recognize from… and I will call Taizetsu to take care of the Leafeon because I must go home. My wife should be worried.' Alus replied.

'Oneka worries about me all the time.' Der laughed. 'She's clearly a very protective and caring mother to our children.'

'…But she creeps me…' Alus mumbled in fear.

'I don't care.' The Vaporeon replied as he left, saluting Alus. 'By the way, good luck, compatriot.'

'Thank you, and good luck for you too.' The Espeon saluted back.


Meanwhile, in the depths of the Shadow Forest, a Skymin with black coat and paler colors, tried to find the entrance to the Leaf Fortress with the company of some Dark Victinis and some Pikachus.


'Spread around, team! Find the entrance!' the Skymin yelled at her squadren.

'Miss Yusha,' One of the Pikachus questioned. 'We have been searching around and we couldn't find a way in. Maybe he's tricking us.'

'Stupidities, minion!' Yusha scolded the Pikachu. 'Search better!'


As the Pikachu left, a Dark Victini with yellow crest, paws and feet, a torn bit of his crest, dark under his eyes and a perpetual frown, came by.


'Yusha!' The Dark Victini started.

'Y-Yes, Sir F-Faust!' The Dark Skymin stuttered.

'It's been about 3 hours and you didn't find the entrance to the temple?! I am dissapointed, mister!!' Faust retorted.

'Just stay there and watch how we find the exit quickly without bu-'

'Without burning a precious, bastardish greenfield? Don't make me laugh! It would be better if you burned it!'

'I ordered one of the Victinis to do so, but…'

'Oh, great! I have to do this myself, wouldn't I?!'


As Faust turned around to the woods, he charged energy in his crest to prepare one attack of V-Corrupt. 'This is not like an attack of V-Create like our peaceful rivals use to attack with. This attack will turn to ash anything immediately. Watch and see, Yusha!' After this little speech, the Dark Victini charged against the woods, expecting to burn it down, but he got bouced away to the floor by an unknown force.


'What is this?!' Faust blurted after a quick recovery. 'I don't even…'

'I told you, sire. Shouldn't we try to read about how to enter there?' Yusha suggested.

'Is there something you know that I don't?!'

'You have to call his name three times. The woods will reveal the path afterwards.'

'His name? Who is he?'

'I don't know his name. People tried to call him "Demigod of the Grass" in this place, but no avail. He probably requested to not reveal his name publicily.'

'Then, get a hint alreadily, grasshead!' The Dark Victini scolded her. 'Victinis, charge the huge invisible wall with your Flamethrowers! Pikachus, Volt Tackle against the invisible wall! Yusha, take a rest! You have done too much fiddling for today!'


Then, the Skymin walked away while sheding tears. She could feel fear running down her spine whenever she heard his voice, and even get memories of how her little sister got tortured down by the Dark Victinis until she was morbidly bruised up by the whips. 'If you ever betray us, we will kill her. GOT IT?!' The voice of Faust sounded on her head.

'Forgive me for involving you on this, Ayu…' Yusha sobbed in her tears. 'If you can hear me, Arceus, please help me…'


At that moment, Suicune and Der were heading towards Floreve City down a river, skidding over it while Chase and Zero were riding the Aurora Pokémon's back and the Victini duo over the Bubble Jet Pokémon's back.


'I hope we reach the Shadow Forest soon…' Chase thought.

'Don't worry.' Suicune said, reading her companion's mind. 'This river will lead us close enough to the place.'

'It would get worse if two Elite members of the Dark Legacy would be there at the same time.'

'I sense that it couldn't… if we figure the past of some of them.'

'What do you mean?' Chase asked.

'There's one girl that's being forced to do the ill job of an evil mind behind the attack to the Water Palace. Her sister has been taken captive and she is forced to fight against her will. Maybe some people who joined the Dark Legacy were tricked into perverted ideas and thus are forced to fight against their own will as well and they don't seem to like it.' Suicune explained.

'I wonder who is that girl.' Zero spoke.

'She's a Dark Skymin, who still worries about nature and her sister. Her name is Yusha.' Suicune replied.

'Wait, if she's the one who is being forced to be evil, why did she attack your palace?' Der asked out of curiosity.

'Because Faust forced her to do so.' Suicune replied once more.

'Faust the Dark Victini?' Galey asked as well.

'How do you know him?' Suicuned asked in return.

'He killed my parents and recluded my brother somewhere.' Galey replied, suddenly sounding more serious. 'I am aware that taking revenge on him by killing him won't solve my troubles, so, bringing him to justice would be better for me.'


Eventually, they reached a lake inside a forest. 'Here we are.' Suicune said as the Half Glaceon and the Flareon got off her back and the Victinis flying to the shore, not wanting to make contact with the water. Suddenly, a Dark Skymin walked in and saw the Aurora Pokémon, feeling really shocked at the sight.


'Suicune?!' Yusha thought in horror. 'What is she doing here?!'
